Autumnal Thoughts

Several years ago, Rosemary and I spent four years in Ipswich, MA. There to serve Gordon College, we were treated to nature's fashion show every Fall. Trees boasted bold reds, yellows, greens and golds. Every autumn, that display was a visual treat for me.
That display became, for me, a metaphor of the life in Christ.

One may give oneself to explosions of color. Conversely, one may also live a dull, boring, lifeless, mechanical life and miss the colors!

I urge you to invite our bright, radiant God to show his colors through us. May we be marked by the hues of holiness.
